Pastor

My name is Andrew Poh, and it is one of my greatest joys in life to pastor this church. I grew up in rural Northeast Wisconsin but came to Northern Nevada as soon as I could! I married Jarré, a Sparks native, in 2009 and God has given us four energetic children. I love hiking in the Sierra Nevada’s, fishing trout streams, and hunting deer and elk. Above all, I desire to love, trust, and obey Jesus in ever-increasing ways and to lead others to do the same.

My name is Josh Nicholson. I grew up in Truckee, CA enjoying the outdoors. I was blessed to marry an excellent wife and we have 4 great kids together. We still enjoy hunting, fishing and enjoying God’s creation outdoors. It is my desire to serve the Lord and submit to Him whatever the task may be. God has blessed me with becoming the Associate Pastor here and I truly enjoy serving Calvary Baptist Church and the Reno area.

Elder

I’m a 20–year Reno resident with over 30 years as a technology business leader. My walk with our Lord began about the age of 8 with the parable of the faith of a mustard seed. Although I wanted to have that kind of faith and did “my best” to walk the path, I struggled. It was years before I truly turned it all over to Him. In that moment, my life was transformed. I live, work, and play with Jesus at the center of it all and every day is a blessing. I believe in prayer, witnessing, and servant leadership. We have an amazing church body that is warm, welcoming, and endeavors to love, trust, and obey Jesus in ever increasing–ways. Please join us this Sunday. 

Elder

My Name is Randy Liedkie. I was raised in Eastern Washington and moved to Nevada in 1986. My wife, Bettie Mae, and I began attending Calvary Baptist Church at that time. We have four adult children. When I’m not working, I enjoy hunting, hiking, and woodworking. I am passionate about Jesus and my church and have been involved in leadership for much of the time I have attended. 

Elder

I am a newbie to the area having moved to Nevada in April of 2022. I grew up in Delano, CA, where I became a Christian at age 17. After graduating from law school at UCLA, I lived in Fresno for 42 years, where I practiced as an attorney. My wife, Marilyn, and I began attending CBC in June of 2022. I have had the privilege of serving in various roles in the church over the last 50 years. I am excited about the work that Calvary is engaged in and look forward to the opportunity to be part of the team.
